Now Playing: Destiny 2 Where's Xur and What's He Selling - February 18, 2022
Head to the EDZ's Winding Cove area, to find Xur this week. For his weapon, Xur is offering the Trinity Ghoul combat bow. Hunters can pick up the Graviton Forfeit helmet; for Titans, there's the Citan's Ramparts gauntlets; and for Warlocks, Xur has the Astrocyte Verse helmet.
Of his Exotic armor, the only standout in Xur's inventory this week is Astrocyte Verse, with a pretty good roll at 66 total stats. It favors Mobility, Resilience, Discipline, and Strength, though, so make sure it fits your loadout goals.
Xur's Legendary weapons leave a lot to be desired this week, though. Only his Enigma's Draw sidearm is worthy of your attention. It rolls with Full Auto Trigger System and Rapid Hit, with a Handling Masterwork, which makes it good for dumping ammo on targets quickly in either PvE or PvP. The rest of the guns can be taken or left at your discretion--you might have fun with his Seventh Seraph Revolver with Timed Payload and Pulse Monitor or his Nature of Beasts with Quickdraw and Dragonfly, but those definitely aren't must-haves.
You might fare better in the Legendary armor department. Xur is carrying the Crucible Swordflight set for Hunters, the Ankaa Seeker IV set for Warlocks, and the Binary Phoenix set for Titans, all from back in the Warmind expansion. There are a bunch of good options for Hunters, with most pieces coming in at 63 and a set of leg armor at 66. Warlocks can get gauntlets and leg armor at 63, which are solid, and Titans can snag a helmet at 62.
Spawn in at the Winding Cove transmat zone in the EDZ to find Xur this week. You'll want to hop on your sparrow and head north up the overpass to the cliff at the area's edge. Look for a cave in the wall where the road bends, which you can enter and follow up to the cliff above. You'll find Xur standing beside a crashed Fallen dropship there.
Xur is present every weekend in Destiny 2, starting with the daily reset at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET each Friday. His exact location is always a mystery when he first arrives, as he is not listed on the map, and for novice players, he can be easy to miss. However, there are a set number of locations where he takes up residence, including the Tower Hangar area, on Nessus in Watcher's Grave, and in the Winding Cove area of the EDZ.
Xur Exotic Items
You can grab Trinity Ghoul from Xur this week, and if you don't have one, you should take advantage. Trinity Ghoul is one of the most fun combat bows in the game, especially now that it has an Exotic catalyst you can find in Vanguard Strikes. The bow sends chain lightning through enemies you kill with precision shots, which can rip through lots of enemies in PvE in hilarious fashion. If you're not a fan of his other options, Xur also sells an Exotic engram that will decrypt into an Exotic you don't already own. Just note that you can only buy one per week, and the engram is specific to the character class who buys it--so if you're trying to get a new Titan helmet, don't buy the engram with your Warlock. He also has the new Xenology Quest, which rewards an Exotic Cipher you can use to purchase Exotics from either Xur or the Tower's Monument to Lost Lights. The quest requires you to either complete Strikes or win matches in Gambit and the Crucible.
- Exotic Engram - 97 legendary shards
- Trinity Ghoul - 29 legendary shards
- Graviton Forfeit - 23 legendary shards
- Citan's Rampart - 23 legendary shards
- Astrocyte Verse - 23 legendary shards
- Xenology quest - free
- Legendary weapons and armor - 50 legendary shards, 1,000 Glimmer
Alongside changes in his location, Xur's inventory also rotates weekly. That means it's worth visiting him each time to check out his new weapons and rolls on Exotic and Legendary armor. You can visit him any time between his arrival Friday and the weekly reset at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET the following Tuesday when Xur departs the solar system.

Trinity Ghoul (Combat Bow)
Trinity Ghoul is one of those weapons that's a lot of fun to use thanks to its unique goofiness. The bow's arrows can either split into three shots to hit multiple enemies when shooting from the hip, or fire a single bolt when aiming down the sights. Precision kills make enemies explode with lightning, chaining Arc electricity across groups to rack up additional kills. The bow is fine on its own, but much better if you can get ahold of its Exotic catalyst from Vanguard Strikes. The catalyst removes the need to land precision kills to trigger lightning, allowing you to zap way more enemies way more often.
Graviton Forfeit (Hunter)
The Void 3.0 revamp with the release of the Witch Queen expansion looks like it'll make invisibility an even bigger part of the Hunter repertoire, and Graviton Forfeit can help. The helmet is great for invis Hunters, as it makes all your invisibility effects last longer, while also giving you a bunch of benefits--when no one can see you, your weapons reload faster, you heal more quickly, and you get a boost in melee energy recharge. This Graviton Forfeit is a bit of a weak roll as far as Xur is concerned, though, so only grab this Exotic if you need to fill a spot in your collection.
- Mobility: 17
- Resilience: 2
- Recovery: 11
- Discipline: 6
- Intellect: 14
- Strength: 10
- Total: 60
Citan's Ramparts (Titan)
Citan's Ramparts can be really helpful to Titans in tight combat situations, whether in PvE or PvP. The Exotic makes it possible for you and your teammates to shoot through your Towering barricades--that is, the big ones. Enemy fire still gets blocked, allowing you to shoot freely at enemies while they can't hurt you. The barricades have less health and a lower duration, but used effectively, the barricades can be devastatingly effective for capturing a control point or clearing a room. However, as Xur's rolls go, this Citan's Ramparts is pretty weak, so skip it unless this is your first chance at the Exotic.
- Mobility: 7
- Resilience: 15
- Recovery: 7
- Discipline: 2
- Intellect: 2
- Strength: 24
- Total: 57
Astrocyte Verse (Warlock)
If you're a Warlock and not messing around with Blink in the Crucible, you should absolutely give it a shot. The jump makes you teleport a short distance, which can be great for zipping past enemies or causing them to lose track of you--especially in the Crucible. Astrocyte Verse sends you farther when you Blink and makes it possible to Blink more often, while allowing you to recover your radar and ready your weapon more quickly when you land. And while the other rolls Xur has this week are lackluster, this Astrocyte Verse is a pretty solid one statistically, and worth consideration for your Crucible loadout.
- Mobility: 14
- Resilience: 16
- Recovery: 3
- Discipline: 13
- Intellect: 2
- Strength: 18
- Total: 66
